According to Teslarati, Musk had mentioned in 2020 to a Model 3 owner that future vehicles would include an emergency call feature. Since that day, this feature has been tested multiple times and has been consistently requested by users, especially in online forums.
Tesla’s new software update will directly call the emergency call center
The company will now offer a feature that automatically triggers a call to the emergency call center when airbags deploy in the car. According to researchers at the University of Miami, this feature has been available in affordable cars for 23 years.
According to an announcement made at X, other notable updates include a multi-stop trip planner, blind spot indicators, and live sentry cameras. The company noted that if your car has an external speaker feature, you can update your horn lock sound to that of a screaming goat.

LAN Party: You can now play your favorite games on the rear touch screen.
Rear Screen Bluetooth Headphones: Passengers in the back can now use wireless Bluetooth headphones while watching shows or playing games on the rear screen.
Apple Podcast Support: You can listen to millions of the world’s most popular podcasts through Tesla software.
Tesla App Trip Planner: You can use the Tesla mobile app to plan a multi-stop trip and send it to your vehicle.
Speed Cameras on Route: Navigation will now include speed cameras, stop signs, and traffic lights.
Automatic 911 Calls: In the event of an accident triggering the airbags, your car will automatically call 911.
Blind Spot Indicators: The blind spot camera will warn you with a red shadow when your turn signal is on and a car is detected in your blind spot.
More Live Sentry Cameras: You will now be able to access left and right column cameras for a total of 7 angles when viewing around the vehicle through the Tesla app.
Light Show: Enjoy the amazing new Light Show titled ‘The Arrival’.
Castle Doombad: Castle Doombad is now available in Tesla Arcade; also available are updates to Beach Buggy, Polytopia, and Vampire Survivors.
High-Quality Parking Assistance: You will be able to see a 3D reconstruction of your surroundings while parking.
